A Summer Wedding Under the Tent at Fernbrook Farms
Nicole and Robert Saydee got married on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at The Inn at Fernbrook Farms in Chesterfield, New Jersey. It was a warm summer night, the kind that makes an outdoor reception feel effortless, and the tented brick patio was set with pink, yellow, and orange florals and bright fruit centerpieces that leaned all the way into the season.
We were there from 7 to 11 PM with a black and white glam photo booth, tucked into the reception without ever pulling focus from it. No props, no signage clutter, no fuss. Just a clean white backdrop and a light setup that made every guest who stepped in front of it look like they had been styled for it.
What we did not expect was the handwritten thank you note the couple handed our attendant at the end of the night. More on that later.
About The Inn at Fernbrook Farms
If you have never been, Fernbrook is not a ballroom or a banquet hall. It sits at the center of a 230-acre working farm in Chesterfield, with a three-story Georgian manor house from the 1750s anchoring the property. The grounds are a mix of gardens, wide lawns, and open farm fields, and couples can choose from several different spots for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
Nicole and Robert’s reception was held on the venue’s red brick terrace. The terrace is covered by a white tent with a clear skylight panel at one end and lit by wrought iron chandeliers along with bistro and perimeter lighting. It is one of our favorite kinds of spaces to work in. The light is warm, the ceiling is high, and the whole thing feels open without feeling exposed.
The venue also grows a good deal of its own produce, and the kitchen builds seasonal menus around it. That farm to table detail comes through in the way the whole day feels. Nothing about it is generic.
For us, the practical piece is that Fernbrook is easy to load into and the staff knows how to run a timeline. That matters more than people realize when you are setting up a lighting-dependent booth on a patio.
Why the Glam Booth Was the Right Call
The Glam Booth is our most requested booth for weddings, and it is the one guests recognize before they know what it is called. It shoots in black and white with soft, even, wraparound lighting and a skin-smoothing finish, the same look that made the style famous on red carpets and in celebrity party photos.
A few things make a black and white glam photo booth different from a standard booth:
- Studio-quality lighting designed to flatter every skin tone from every angle
- A signature black and white finish that softens the image without making anyone look edited
- No props, by design, so the photos stay elegant instead of goofy
- An on-site attendant posing and directing guests through every session
That last two points are the ones couples ask about most. Skipping props feels counterintuitive until you see the results. When there is nothing to hide behind, guests actually look at the camera, and you end up with a set of photos that look like a portrait session instead of a party game. Nicole and Robert wanted the luxury version of that, so we ran it clean.
Their template carried a custom monogram in the upper left corner reading “The Saydees” with the wedding date underneath. Guests took home a printed copy on the spot and received a digital copy to share. By the end of the night, 139 photos had been taken.
How the Night Ran
Carolina ran the booth for Nicole and Robert. She arrived early, had everything set and tested well before the 7 PM start, and had the booth positioned so it read as part of the reception rather than something parked off to the side.
The only real pause in the night came during the entrance of the bride and groom, which is exactly how it should go. Guests stepped away, watched the entrance, and came right back. From there the line stayed steady through the rest of the reception.
Carolina said the couple was one of the kindest she has worked with all season. They checked in on her, thanked her repeatedly, and made a point of making her feel like part of the night rather than a vendor in the corner. That kind of thing is rare, and it does not go unnoticed.
At the end of the evening, Nicole and Robert handed her a card:
