An Engagement Party Photo Booth Built Around Family
Rajitha and Ambar’s engagement party photo booth setup included three roaming booths and a live photo mosaic wall. On Friday, August 21, 2026, Rajitha and Ambar celebrated their engagement at the bride’s family home in Monmouth Junction, NJ. Hosted by the bride’s mother, Subha, the evening brought together 500 guests for a traditional Indian engagement complete with a puja and ring ceremony.
The backyard was transformed. A floral mandap framed the ceremony space, and a clear-top tent with ivory drapery and a ceiling full of string lights hosted dinner. Guests could also place a lock on a fence beneath a neon “Locked In Your Love” sign. For the entertainment, Subha wanted something every guest could be part of. Our answer was a live photo mosaic wall for engagement party guests to build together, one photo at a time.
From First Call to the Perfect Fit
When Subha first called Milestone, Marissa answered. Subha was looking for an interactive experience that would get guests involved, and Marissa recommended the live photo mosaic wall. She stayed Subha’s main point of contact from that first call through event day.
Subha initially asked about a 5 x 8 foot wall. Our team recommended a 3 x 5 foot wall with 600 tiles instead, sized so the mosaic would be fully complete within the four-hour window. It was the right call. By the end of the night, every tile was on the board.
The finished image was a photo of Rajitha and Ambar from the moment they got engaged in Italy.
Three Roaming Photo Booths Capturing Every Moment
Instead of a single stationary booth, we used three roaming photo booths as the capture devices for the mosaic. Carolina, Rohan, and Josh moved through the backyard from 6 to 10 PM, capturing the puja, the ring exchange, family groups, individual portraits, and the florals and decor.
Every photo became a tile on the wall and was sent straight to the guest’s phone by text. Subha chose a digital-only experience, so there were no prints to manage and nothing for guests to carry home.
Each image featured a custom overlay with the couple’s monogram. We also created a custom backdrop to display the mosaic wall, designed to match the colors and style of the celebration.
Guests Who Helped Build the Wall
Guest participation mattered to Subha, so our team made it part of the experience. Marissa and Drea placed tiles throughout the night and invited guests to add their own stickers to the board. Almost everyone said yes.
The kids were some of the biggest fans. Many of them loved getting their own photo taken and then running over to find their spot on the wall. As the night went on, guests kept coming back to see how much of the image had come together.
Emily ran the technical side of the setup, and Shayn managed the event and stepped in wherever needed.
The Night by the Numbers
Every tile on Rajitha and Ambar’s mosaic represented a guest, a moment, or a memory from the celebration. Here’s a look at what the night added up to.

Kind Words from Subha
"Overall, our guests really enjoyed taking photos. I still have the final image at home and absolutely love how it turned out. Thanks again to you and your entire team for all of your hard work to make these events special."
Subha, Mother of the Bride
What Our Team Had to Say
"Subha told me she wanted her guests to be part of the celebration, not just watch it. Seeing her guests help build that image, and then watching Rajitha and Ambar place the last tile, was exactly what we hoped for."
Marissa, Milestone Photo Booth Rentals
The celebration continued the next day at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, where our AI Sketch Robots joined the festivities. We’ll share that story soon.
The Final Tile
The best moment of the night came at the end. With a crowd gathered around the wall, Rajitha and Ambar placed the final tile together. The image of their engagement in Italy was complete, and the couple shared a kiss as everyone cheered.
Subha now has the finished mosaic at home, a keepsake made from the faces of the people who celebrated with them.
