A Celestial Wedding, Reimagined
This celestial wedding at Valenzano Winery was built around a life-size moon. On Sunday, June 12, 2022, Dedrea and Dane Gianarkis celebrated their wedding at Valenzano Winery in Shamong, NJ. The pandemic had pushed back their original date, and they used the extra time to rethink the day around a celestial theme.
When their first photo booth company couldn’t make the new date, they called Milestone. They wanted a photo booth that felt like part of the theme, not an add-on, so we started designing a custom wedding photo booth built around the night sky.
A Life-Size Moon and a Sky Full of Clouds
We built the experience around a traditional photo booth and gave it a centerpiece: a life-size crescent moon guests could sit on. Soft, full clouds surrounded the moon to finish the look.
Guests didn’t need any direction. Couples, friends and whole families climbed onto the moon, and the booth stayed busy from cocktail hour to the last dance. The setup matched the winery’s romantic feel and became one of the highlights of the reception.
A Year and a Half in the Making
The props took longer than the party. Planning ran more than a year and a half, much of it spent designing and refining the moon and clouds with the couple.
In the final months, we measured the space so the depth of the set and the camera’s field of view worked together. Every guest had to fit on the moon and in the frame, from a couple to a full group.
On the day, our team set up the booth and props as one design, and our attendants guided guests through each session so every photo carried the celestial look.

Months of Planning
Guests chose between a 2×6 photo strip and a 4×6 postcard print. The couple also took home an engraved memory book holding every strip and print from the night.
